Elize Tohme is a painter based in Paris. Originally trained in law, she turned to painting later on, developing an intuitive and sensitive practice.
Her work exists between atmospheric abstraction and abstract impressionism. Working with acrylics, she explores the relationship between light, space, and color — favoring suggestion over defined forms.
Influenced in part by her Scandinavian maternal heritage, her approach embraces simplicity and a particular attention to light. Each canvas becomes a space for contemplation, where the visible gives way to sensation.
